Default MMS Problems...

Hey quick question, jjust got my fuze a week ago and so far I have not been able to send/ receive MMS messages.

I have NATF's ROM v 2.3 also and read through his xda page and didnt see anyone else having the same problem ...

When I try to send/receive pictures should I have the data connection enabled under the communications tab ? ?

When i try to send a picture it just sits in my outbox and never goes any where.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you otherwise send/receive data when this is happening? Are you going through the AT&T proxy? I believe MMS is one of the rare times you need to go through their proxy in order to send (using AT&T services like MediaNet also require it)

Umm I guess I can send/recieve other data, as in I can make phone calls and send regular old sms text message during this. I dont have a data plan tho, but that has never stopped me from sending MMS on my previous phones plan treos and such...

And I'm not sure about the proxy question, how do I check? Under MMS options in the messaging app. im running through the AT&T server. I havent really messed with the network settings at all just however they came on NATF's v2.3 ROM.

if you open internet explorer try to go to device.home. If it loads the proxy is enabled. You can go to programs - tools -proxy and manually enable the proxy. I'm not sure if this is your problem, but it's worth checking...

Ok I opened IE and that page won't load and a little thing pops up sating cannont connect, so I got into MediaNet settings and on the proxy tab It says:

This device connects to the internet ( has a check box whichm was checked )
This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet (also check box but unchecked)

When i check the second box I can manually set up a proxy server, but I dont know what to type in for the server name ??

I'm not 100% sure but I think I have read that you need a data plan to receive mms messages on this phone. Try to enable data connection and try to send an mms message. AT&T won't charge you but to send mms you need access through their data to do it.

Go into your Windwos directory using FIle Explorer and you'll see a file called restorehiddenrpoxy.cab. Just run that and the proxy will be re-enabled.

Thats kind of what i suspected the whole time, and I think it may have worked? I enabled data and I was able to receive a picture from my friend but when i sent one it said it sent but he never got it, so im assuming that it was his phones fault.
