Default Fixing rapid screen backlight timeout during call

Its impossible to use the Keypad on the Fuze when in a phone call as the screen turns off within a few seconds.
I have not been able to find a mention or fix for this. Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks.

Default didnt work

That setting was definitely there in DiamondTweak but even though I disabled that setting it did not affect the phone timeout. I did save, exit the app and run it again to make sure the setting was disabled.

I wonder why it wouldnt work on any Fuze.

try this:
Prevent screen switching off during phone call --> HKEY_Local_Machine\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastD ormantDisplayDuringCall to 0
AND
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\Sleep switch value from 1 to 0

DavidK - thanks for your post (below), but please help a non-programmer out and explain where/how I make such a change (if that be possible for a non-programmer). Thanks in advance.

Reg keys are very helpful, thanks!
Turns out I was not following directions and only set 1.1 and not 1.2 as well.
I'm good, thanks!

I did install DiamondTweak to give it a shot while I figure out how to make the programing/control panel tweaks that DavidK recommended and DiamondTweak did not fix the problem for me either

You can make those registry changes by using this free software: http://ghisler.fileburst.com/ce/tcmdpocketarm.cab
Install that on your Fuze then go to the ‘..’ on the top right in Total Commander then go to ‘\\plugins’ at top and then ‘registry’ and then HKLM…
it's actually not difficult to do so try it out. You'll see the app isn't difficult and once you see how to use it you can tweak almost anything in your Fuze
