I just checked again and even with logging in and everything it's under 15 seconds from first press. The processor on the Fuze is better but it's not day and night...could also be memory and things like that. Not sure but a few seconds is still a lot better than booting up a comp.

Hmm..... plenty of memory. But a handy app nonetheless.

Default New release of Neflix App

It seems that Netflix itself has released an app and it looks pretty nice.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...e/netflix.mspx

Go give it a try and let us know what you think! I installed and tried and its smooth. Only drawback so far is you can only search by name, but not popularity. But it does give you your DVD Queue, Instant Queue, What movies you have at home, your Saved Queue and Saved Instant.

Good Luck!

I installed it this morning and have been playing with it too.

I used SmartFlicks for a while for the functionality it brought, but loathed the interface, it was clunky old-school WinMo, scroll bars on the top and bottom, etc.

The MS Netflix app however, is very finger friendly, everything is way smoother and doesn't require any stylus work at all.

I agree though, I wish it had things like "new additions", "most popular" , etc. I'm sure they'll add that stuff in the near future though.

It doesn't seem to work on wifi on my Fuze. Has anyone else noticed this?

I tried it on my Tilt and it runs fine for me, although the preview was quite choppy over 3G (it is a stock Tilt - no fancy video drivers here). Also, it loads VERY quickly and I installed it on the storage card.

I definitely like this app better than the others I have tried, the interface is pretty slick, but there are features I would like to see:

1. On the search results screen, show a red and blue icon for each movie indicating it is available for dvd or instant viewing. You can already tap and hold to bring up the add to queue, but the icons would make it much faster.

2. Better yet, let us filter results based on instant or DVD.

3. Allow me to stream the entire show to my phone. Movies would probably kill it, but TV shows are only 22 minutes. Might be handy from time to time while waiting around.
