What ROM are you using? As for Goog, make sure AGPS is enabled. As for the clock, make sure that it is set to sync with the towers. I'm in NYC as well and my weather eerily tracks me throughout the city and I get weather specific to the part of the city I am in.
Oh and on the clock are you talknig about the clock always starting odff my 1 hour and 2 minutes? In other words, when you flip to it, you notice it flip to the right time each time? That's actually something built into tf3d but you can change it if that's what you're referring to.

Hey there and thanks for the reply.
First of all I'm on the Stock T-Mobile 6.5 ROM. The clock can sometimes be off by 2 or 3 minutes and when I haven't even touched it. I read on XDA that it might have something to do with T-Mobile's towers in New York, although I do get the neighborhood related locations. But with the Google Maps there is no hope. I live on the Upper West Side and the thing puts me in Chelsea no matter where I am in the city. Every time. And it says that's my location within 43,000 feet. On AT&T it was never more than maybe 900ft.

Very annoying. Makes using Google maps kinda useless for "search near me"

I don't use Goggle, but if memory servers, you can press 0 and a blue dot will appear. If the dot has a blue halo, it means there is an uncertainty as to your position, if the dot is solid than obviously it should mean that it is certain about your position.
Why the uncertainty? The My Location feature takes information broadcast from mobile towers near you to approximate your current location on the map - it's not GPS, but it should come pretty close (approximately 1000m close, on average)I think.
