Looks like the Barnes & Noble eReader app is going to launch shortly for WM. If we had to guess an exact date it would be March 24…the day the TMo HD2 is released since that’s where the app is extracted from. Don’t worry, we’ll give you a link to the cab as soon as a live version is available. It’s intended for WVGA and in VGA portions of the page are cut off. As for functionality, we don’t now what the final product will be. Here’s the feature list from the iPhone to give you a sense as to what to expect:
- Automatic downloads of your latest Barnes & Noble eBook purchases and samples
- Access to download eBooks from your Online Library anytime
- Bookmarks, note taking & highlight functionality
- Lookup function for dictionary, Wikipedia or Google
- Portrait or landscape display modes
- Customizable font, margins and page gestures
The B&N eReader comes with two free Classics:
- The Last of the Mohicans
- Sense and Sensibility
The HD2 preview site lists the app as “Barnes&Noble® — Over one million eBooks, magazines & newspapers. Sample any eBook free!”
